Marqette

Kaneco has established a strong and ongoing relationship with projects in the Dublin Airport, delivering high-performance commercial kitchen solutions multiple companies. A notable example is the collaboration with Marqette, the award-winning food hall in Terminal 1, where Kaneco has contributed to major renovations, redesigns, and targeted interventions.

Marqette, renowned for its innovative approach to airport dining, features a variety of food offerings, including freshly baked artisan breads, traditional Irish breakfasts, and made-to-order dishes like omelettes and crepes. A unique highlight is “The Hatch,” a vintage Citroën van repurposed as a live cooking station for omelettes and crepes, exemplifying the creative use of on-site materials.

Kaneco’s contributions to Marqette encompass the supply and installation of high-capacity cooking and preparation equipment, servery display counters, and custom-fabricated features. The design incorporates reclaimed materials, such as timber from American Amish barns and bricks from Dublin’s historic Windmill Lane Studios, to create an authentic Irish ambiance.

Recent projects include the replacement of the coffee pod in Terminal 1 and the introduction of Fruitality in Terminal 2. Both initiatives utilized prefabrication techniques to minimize on-site work, ensuring efficient installation and reduced disruption to airport operations.

Through these projects, Kaneco has demonstrated expertise in delivering tailored kitchen solutions that meet the dynamic needs of airport food services, blending functionality with innovative design.
